Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, seeks an Inductions Trainer in Perth to prepare new starters for underground operations. You will coordinate and deliver premobilisation training, ensure compliance, and build situational awareness before mobilising to site.

The role includes delivering simulator and VR-based training, mentoring staff, updating materials, and conducting safety briefings at Hazelmere with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Inductions Trainer or similar role in underground mining.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining processes including safety standards and mobile equipment.
• Underground operational experience with the ability to mentor inexperienced employees.
• Ability to tailor training to diverse audiences across gender, culture and disability.
• Professional communication skills with confidence presenting to mid‑large groups.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate premobilisation training to prepare new starters for underground work.
• Deliver simulator training and provide performance feedback on mobile mining equipment.
• Maintain and update training materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide safety and operational briefings to build situational awareness.
• Deliver training at Hazelmere and onsite, with occasional weekend work (days in lieu provided).
