Job summary

Westgold Resources in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Underground Supervisor to lead safety‑driven development and production activities. Reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you will oversee underground crews, plan resources, and ensure tasks meet production targets with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will mentor crews, drive risk management, and uphold site procedures while coordinating labour and equipment.

Qualifications

• Underground Supervisor's Certificate required or equivalent.
• Senior First Aid certification required.
• Current WA Class C Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance required.
• Desirable: Working at Heights.
• Desirable: Dangerous Goods Security Clearance.
• Desirable: Shotfirer's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground mining crews to achieve production targets.
• Drive a strong safety culture with visible leadership and risk management.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, and resources to maximise shift performance.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, inspections, and shift handovers.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures and legislative requirements.
• Support workforce development through coaching, training and performance management.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team focused on continuous improvement.
