Job summary
Westgold Resources seeks an experienced Underground Superintendent to lead underground mining activities at our Southern Goldfields operation. You will report to the Operations Manager and drive production targets safely and efficiently in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities include leading underground teams, ensuring safety & compliance, planning development and production, and mentoring supervisors.
Qualifications
- Underground supervisor with production environment experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development.
- Strong focus on safety, compliance and cost control.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Commitment to safety, accountability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to underground mining teams.
- Drive proactive safety culture and statutory compliance.
- Deliver development and production targets through planning and execution.
- Collaborate with Technical Services, Geology, Maintenance and Processing teams.
- Mentor and develop supervisors and operational staff.
- Monitor and improve productivity, costs and performance.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships for site success.
