Job summary

Peabody Energy Corporation is seeking an experienced Outbye Mechanical Coordinator for Centurion Mine, located ~160 kilometres west of Mackay. You will lead maintenance of critical underground infrastructure, including conveyors, and drive safety, reliability and production targets.

You will coach maintenance crews, manage OEM/contractor relationships and implement continuous improvements while ensuring compliance with statutory and site requirements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification or Engineering degree is required.
• Minimum two years in a supervisory role within underground coal mining.
• Extensive knowledge of conveyor systems and maintenance practices.
• Commitment to safety and a positive safety culture.
• Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3 and G2) are preferred.
• Proficient with SAP or similar CMMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance processes to optimise equipment reliability.
• Coach and develop maintenance crews for high performance.
• Ensure conveyor and underground infrastructure meet safety and production targets.
• Manage relationships with OEMs, contractors and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance teams.
