Zusammenfassung

Peabody Energy is seeking an experienced Outbye Belt Fitter to join Centurion Mine’s Outbye team. You will inspect, maintain and repair underground conveyor belt systems and related equipment, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation in a demanding underground environment.

You will perform belt tracking and splicing, replace worn components and work with production, engineering and maintenance teams to optimise reliability. A strong safety focus and fault-finding skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum five years' experience as a Mechanical Technician/Fitter within underground mining operations.
• Extensive experience maintaining underground conveyor belt systems.
• Demonstrated experience installing and replacing belt clips.
• Strong experience with conveyor maintenance and troubleshooting, gearboxes and drives, pulley replacement, belt tracking and alignment.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and schematics; strong fault-finding abilities.

Aufgaben

• Perform planned, preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance across underground conveyor systems.
• Inspect, maintain and repair conveyor belts, drive units, gearboxes and rollers.
• Carry out belt tracking, alignment, splicing and repairs.
• Replace worn conveyor components and diagnose mechanical failures.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
