Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking casual Support Workers for the Women’s Program in Alice Springs, NT. This role supports residents in a safe, respectful environment, assisting with daily tasks and maintaining records while working within a 24/7 roster.

You will contribute to case plan goals, collaborate with the team, and bring experience in community services and trauma-informed care. OT shifts and after-hours work are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in community services or related field.
• Experience supporting people transitioning from custody or the justice system.
• Experience with First Nations communities and culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, welcoming, trauma-informed environment for residents.
• Assist residents with daily living tasks and record-keeping.
• Respond to incidents and escalate as required.
• Collaborate with case managers and team to support case plan goals.
• Work across 24/7 roster including after-hours shifts.
