Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated support worker in Mount Isa to join our community services team. You will work with Case Managers to provide practical, person-centred and trauma-informed support, helping participants gain independence and safety.

As part of a busy team, you will respond to immediate needs, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reviews while supporting transport, cleaning, gardening and administration. A compassionate, culturally inclusive approach is essential.

  • Compassionate, respectful and committed to supporting others.
  • Experience in community services, homelessness or related field, or equivalent skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Trauma-informed and culturally inclusive approaches.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
