Job summary

You Matter is launching the Domestic Abuse Recovery Service in Liverpool. We are recruiting for a maternity cover role within a female-only service, starting August 2027. The post holder will work 38.6 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off rota with 12-hour shifts.

As part of the DARS team you will deliver intensive housing management, build supportive relationships, and help service users regain independence while maintaining safety and trauma-informed care. This is a fixed-term position.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that Intensive Housing Management tasks are completed in a timely way and to a high standard
• To build supportive and therapeutic relationships with Service Users through dialogue
• To deliver activity-based interventions
• To support in preparing Service Users to resettle into their community of choice
• To ensure that Housing Benefit applications are completed in a timely manner
• To work alongside the support-worker team in ensuring that all daily tasks are completed and that residents’ needs are met
• Assist Practitioners with the induction and management of their case load
• Update and communicate service user risk assessments in line with You Matter policy and procedure
• Assist in the planning of workshops to inform service users about tenancy, housing and independent living
• Creatively engage service users with complex needs
• Encourage service users to participate in activities
• Offer a creative but assertive approach to re-engagement
• Assist Practitioners in managing personalised behaviour / support agreements
• Provide clear information on handovers to the team
• Assist service users in cleaning their room
• Complete void checks and prepare rooms for letting
• Maintain accurate records
• Support clients with challenging behaviour using CAT/psychologically informed approaches
• Encourage involvement and co-production from service users
• Provide a safe, welcoming environment with high standards of service delivery
• Liaise with emergency services and ensure safety on premises
