Creative Support is recruiting a Crisis & Recovery Worker to join our Liverpool City Centre service. The role operates from 6pm every day of the year, delivering a night-time crisis prevention service for individuals with mental health conditions.

You will provide practical and emotional support, work to reduce hospitalizations, and collaborate with police, crisis teams, and other agencies to promote service users’ independence and coping strategies within a recovery-focused framework.

Crisis & Recovery Support Worker (FT/PT)

We are looking for passionate, committed, and highly motivated Crisis & Recovery Workers to join our service in Liverpool City Centre. This service operates in collaboration with Merseycare, the local police force, crisis teams, and other agencies to offer a new night time crisis prevention service for individuals with mental health conditions.

Our service aims to provide a safe and secure environment for individuals at a crisis point in their mental health. Operating from 6pm every day of the year, our goal is to reduce hospitalizations, dependency on A&E departments and police resources. Utilizing a social model of support, our staff team will employ appropriate de-escalation and support techniques while promoting clients’ abilities to manage their coping strategies.

As a Crisis and Recovery Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to service users in or facing a mental health crisis. You will identify and access opportunities for service users to gain independence and confidence. You will work with service users in a recovery-focused manner, aligned with their support and risk management plans. Collaboration with other professionals to deliver a consistent and coordinated service, maximizing outcomes for service users, is essential.
