Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland is seeking a Practitioner, Family Support to provide in-home, family-centered support for vulnerable families. You will work directly with parents and children to develop practical parenting skills, manage home safety, and maintain strong attachments within the home environment.

The role is permanent part-time (0.8 FTE) across Monday to Friday at the Gympie service location, with travel within the service area to deliver supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or a related field.
• Current Blue Card, NPC check, and Queensland Driver Licence.
• Ability to travel within the Gympie region to deliver in-home support.
• Experience or commitment to trauma-informed care and child safety.
• Permanent part-time role 0.8 FTE, Mon-Fri at Gympie service location.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home child-centred support to vulnerable families in the community.
• Engage with parents to support effective service delivery and outcomes.
• Assist parents to develop practical skills and knowledge for child safety and home stability.
• Conduct assessments and tailor services to family needs, risks, and protective factors.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external services to keep children safe.
