Job summary

Anglicare Southern Queensland in Gympie seeks a Residential Youth Worker to provide care and support to children and young people in out-of-home care or at risk. You will be the primary caregiver during your shift, promoting safety, routines and development while applying trauma-informed strategies.

You will work with the Coordinator and Service Manager to implement plans, maintain notes, and engage in relevant training.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or higher in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or related field.
• Blue Card current and valid.
• Current LCS and Queensland driver licence.
• Completion of Hope and Healing Framework training.
• Experience with trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary caregiver during shifts for youth in care.
• Support daily routines and age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain daily case notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with coordinators to implement trauma-informed plans.
