Job summary

The Benevolent Society is seeking a Families Together Child & Family Practitioner to deliver home-based intervention and lead family-led plans. You will assess risks, provide parenting support, advocacy and service coordination, while documenting progress and coordinating with partner services.

The role emphasises trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice and aims to keep children safe and thriving within their families, with hybrid work options and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or related human services field.
Experience delivering intensive casework with vulnerable children and families.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and child safety risk assessment.
Strong communication and collaboration with families and service partners.
Confident with case documentation; NSW Driver's Licence and WWCC required.

Responsibilities

Provide home-based intervention with regular family visits.
Assess family strengths and risks; develop family-led support plans.
Deliver practical, evidence-informed interventions including parenting support and advocacy.
Coordinate services and document case progress accurately.
Engage with families and partner services to support safe, thriving outcomes.
