Job summary

The Benevolent Society is seeking a Families Together Practitioner in New South Wales. This full-time, 12-month role focuses on delivering home-based, strengths-based support for families and children at risk, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed practice and collaboration with partner services.

You will conduct home visits, assess risks, develop family-led plans, coordinate practical supports, and engage in ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities within a supportive

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or related human services field.
• Experience delivering intensive casework with vulnerable children and families.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice, child safety and risk assessment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and service partners.
• Current NSW Driver’s Licence and NSW Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based intervention with regular family visits and direct engagement.
• Assess family strengths, needs and risks, and develop family-led plans.
• Deliver practical, evidence-informed interventions including parenting support and advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with families, colleagues and partners.
