Job summary

Central Queensland Indigenous Development (CQID) invites applications for a Child & Family Support Practitioner within Strong Carers, Strong Children. You will deliver intensive, trauma-informed therapeutic support to strengthen placement stability and improve outcomes for children in kinship or foster care, in partnership with the Department.

You may manage a small caseload and provide tailored support to enhance family functioning, reduce disruptions, and promote long-term wellbeing for

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in social work or related field.
Strong cultural identity and connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, kin and communities.
Experience coordinating service delivery and managing priorities.
Knowledge of child protection legislation, information-sharing, privacy and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Deliver trauma-informed therapeutic support to strengthen placement stability and outcomes.
Provide in-home and family-based support to carers and children in kinship or foster care.
Maintain collaborative relationships with families, CQID programs, Child Safety and partners.
Ensure service delivery complies with legislation, guidelines and CQID policies.
Attend to record keeping and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and HSQS.
