Job summary

Barnardos Australia is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join the Family Connect and Support team in Marrickville, NSW. This full-time contract role focuses on providing voluntary, family-centred case management to vulnerable children and families.

You will deliver short-term FCS services, coordinate referrals, and maintain records in line with safeguarding policies while supporting culturally safe practice and partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher qualification in social work, psychology or related field.
• Experience in trauma-informed family services.
• Ability to assess family needs and provide referrals.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies.
• Commitment to cultural safety and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

Responsibilities

• Provide voluntary, family-focused case management to children, young people and families.
• Deliver short-term Family Connect and Support services including assessment and goal-focused support.
• Refer families to appropriate community and specialist services.
• Monitor child protection concerns and maintain records per Barnardos policies.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver trauma-informed services.
