Job summary

South East Women & Children's Services Inc is seeking a Case Manager to work with the Program Manager and team to support women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. You will provide active case management, safety planning, advocacy, and referrals to help clients stay safe at home or in chosen housing.

The role requires a Diploma in Community Services Welfare or equivalent with at least 2 years' DV experience, a feminist and trauma-informed approach, strong interpersonal

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Services Welfare or equivalent with 2+ years in DV field
• Feminist framework and trauma-informed approach
• Knowledge of DV issues affecting women and children
• Cross-cultural awareness incl Aboriginal people, non-English speakers, LGBTQI+, women with disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and empathetic communication with clients and staff
• Ability to relate to children
• Comprehensive computer skills and willingness to learn databases/software
• Working with Children clearance and Criminal History Checks
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management support including crisis intervention and case plans
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits
• Provide information on community resources and referrals
• Maintain service databases and accurate case notes
• Transport adults and children to relevant agencies when needed
• Collaborate with team and program manager on referrals and allocations
• Co-present education sessions to community groups
• Participate in supervision and annual worker appraisals
• Work respectfully with SEWACS staff and management
