Transport Operations & Depot Coordinator

This is a varied role combining transport operations, customer service, warehouse duties and day-to-day depot compliance. It would suit someone with transport, logistics or warehousing experience who enjoys taking ownership of their work and isn't looking for a purely desk-based position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinating and allocating our local fleet
• Managing customer bookings, quotes and general enquiries
• Entering, allocating and monitoring jobs through our Transport Management System
• Communicating with drivers and resolving day-to-day operational issues
• Assisting with interstate operations when required
• Checking completed jobs and charges prior to invoicing
• Preparing basic weekly truck performance reports
• Loading and unloading
• Receiving, checking, picking and putting away warehouse freight
• Maintaining an organised warehouse and depot

About you

• Has experience in transport, logistics, freight or warehousing
• Is organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• Is confident dealing with customers and drivers
• Has good computer and administration skills
• Is comfortable working both in the office and warehouse
• Has a practical, problem-solving attitude
• Takes ownership and follows tasks through
• Has a strong focus on safety and compliance
• Experience with a Transport Management System, fleet compliance, NHVAS or Chain of Responsibility would be highly regarded
