Job summary

Hardline Logistics (Vic) is seeking an experienced Fleet Allocator to join our Operations team in Bacchus Marsh, VIC. You will coordinate fleet movements, allocate work and maintain key customer relationships while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves daily coordination of tippers and tankers, working with drivers and management to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient utilization. A proactive, detail-oriented communicator will thrive in this fast-paced environment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Allocator to join our Operations team.

SHIFT 6AM - 2:30PM

Some after hours and weekend phone coverage is required, on an alternating roster.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will be responsible for coordinating fleet movements, allocating work, maintaining customer relationships and ensuring compliance with all operational and legislative requirements.

Working closely with drivers, customers and management, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery of transport services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the daily operations of our fleet of tippers and tankers.

• Schedule and allocate metropolitan, regional and interstate deliveries and collections.

• Monitor and manage fleet utilisation to maximise efficiency and productivity.

• Ensure compliance with NHVR requirements, Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), WHS legislation and company procedures.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders.

• Monitor driver work and rest requirements and ensure legal compliance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate records, data entry and operational documentation.

• Deliver a high level of customer service and proactively manage customer expectations.

• Assist with planning, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in transport allocation, logistics coordination or a similar transport operations role.

• Knowledge of NHVR Fatigue Management, Mass Management and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• A professional, customer-focused approach.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong computer literacy and confidence working across multiple systems.
