Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced NHVR Fleet Allocator / Controller to join our team in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. You will coordinate a busy metropolitan Pick-Up & Delivery fleet servicing palletised freight customers and ensure high service levels.

The role requires strong NHVR compliance knowledge, CoR familiarity, and the ability to manage drivers, routes, and disruptions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fleet Controller, Fleet Allocator, Dispatcher, or Transport Allocator.
• Experience in palletised freight operations.
• Strong NHVR knowledge and CoR familiarity.
• Ability to coordinate drivers and fleet movements in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and coordinate daily driver runs.
• Manage fleet utilisation and route efficiency.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery operations across Melbourne.
• Monitor delivery performance and service levels.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and stakeholders.
• Manage transport disruptions and provide practical solutions.
• Coordinate priority freight and urgent deliveries.
• Ensure NHVR compliance, CoR, and fatigue management obligations.
• Maintain transport documentation and reporting.
• Assist in driving operational performance and continuous improvement.

Synergie Australia is seeking an experienced NHVR Fleet Allocator / Controller to join our valued client in Melbourne's Western Suburbs.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in palletised freight operations, fleet allocation, NHVR compliance, and transport coordination. We are looking for a candidate who understands the operational demands of a busy freight network and can confidently coordinate drivers, deliveries, and service outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The important parts:

• Pay:$80,000 - $86,000 + Super
• Hours: Monday to Friday
• Location: Sunshine, Melbourne
• Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

What you will be required to do:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a busy metropolitan Pick-Up & Delivery fleet servicing palletised freight customer.

• Allocate and coordinate daily driver runs
• Manage fleet utilisation and route efficiency
• Coordinate pickup and delivery operations across Melbourne
• Monitor delivery performance and service levels
• Liaise with drivers, customers, warehouse teams, and operational stakeholders
• Manage transport disruptions and provide practical solutions
• Coordinate priority freight and urgent delivery requirements
• Ensure compliance with NHVR regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and fatigue management obligations
• Maintain accurate transport documentation and reporting
• Assist in driving operational performance and continuous improvement

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have previous experience as a Fleet Controller, Fleet Allocator, Dispatcher, or Transport Allocator
• Have worked within the freight transport industry
• Have direct experience managing palletised freight operations
• Have a strong understanding of NHVR requirements (essential)
• Have knowledge of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
• Have experience coordinating drivers and daily fleet movements
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced transport environment
• Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Have excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Experience with transport systems is advantageous, however practical transport knowledge is more important than software experience
