Job summary

EVT is seeking a Transformation Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed term contract in Sydney. You will drive LEAN improvements, map current and future processes, and identify automation or AI opportunities with the Data Engineering team.

You’ll lead workshops, run FMEA, develop SIPOC/swimlane maps, and embed standard work while tracking benefits. Strong stakeholder engagement and data-driven storytelling are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience applying LEAN principles in an operational environment.
• Proven skill in process mapping and value stream mapping, including facilitating workshops.
• Practical experience running FMEA and acting on the results.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Leading LEAN improvement projects from diagnosis through to implementation and benefits tracking.
• Spotting waste, bottlenecks and variation in customer-facing and back-of-house processes, and recommending practical solutions.
• Embedding standard work so improvements stick and can be repeated.
• Identifying processes that are strong candidates for automation or AI, and working with our Data Engineering team to assess feasibility.
• Creating and maintaining current-state and future-state process maps, including SIPOC and swimlane maps.
• Developing value stream maps to show value-adding and non-value-adding activities, lead times and handoffs.
• Using data, observation and time studies to quantify opportunities.
• Running FMEA to identify potential failure points, prioritise risk and track corrective and preventative actions with process owners.
• Supporting operational standards and audit programs by identifying recurring failures and root causes.
• Engaging and influencing stakeholders from frontline teams to senior leaders.
• Reporting on project progress and benefits delivered.
