Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Transactional Banking Specialist to drive merchant acquiring and transactional banking growth. You will operate in a field-based role, identifying opportunities, building referral networks and delivering SME banking solutions in a large geographic area.

Working with Local Business Bankers and regional leaders, you will help small businesses access payment and cash management solutions while delivering outstanding customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a customer-facing, sales-driven environment.
• Strong business development and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to build pipelines and convert opportunities into sales outcomes.
• Solid understanding of SME customer needs and business banking landscape.

Are you a highly motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, winning new business and helping customers grow?

We're looking for aTransactional Banking Specialistwith a strongBusiness Development Manager (BDM) mindset to join our Merchant Solutions team. This is not a traditional banker role. It's a field-based sales position focused on identifying opportunities, building referral networks and driving growth through merchant acquiring and transactional banking solutions.

Working alongside our Local Business Bankers, Branch Managers, Regional General Managers and branch network, you'll help small businesses access innovative payment and cash management solutions while delivering exceptional customer outcomes. The role is designed as a specialist function within the Local Business Banking network, focused on merchant and transactional banking growth.

This role will support the CBD & Northern Beaches and Eastern & Inner Suburbs regions. You will be on the road 3-4 days per week.

What do I need?

• 3-5 years' experience in a customer-facing, sales-driven environment
• Strong business development and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated ability to build pipelines and convert opportunities into sales outcomes
