Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Transaction Banking SME leader to coach and develop a team of SME Transaction Banking Managers. You will partner with state leadership to elevate expertise, drive complex customer solutions, and contribute to revenue growth and customer engagement across SME portfolios.

You will champion performance, coach frontline teams, and manage stakeholder relations to ensure execution of Transaction Banking strategies across the unit.

Job description

As a Transaction Banking SME, you will provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to a team of SME Transaction Banking Managers (TBMs) within your state. You will play a critical role in driving customer outcomes, revenue growth, and operating model excellence by developing team capability, fostering high performance, and ensuring the consistent execution of Transaction Banking strategies across SME portfolios.

Partnering closely with the State Manager and key stakeholders, you will lead the uplift of Transaction Banking expertise, support complex customer solutions, and contribute to the achievement of business growth and customer engagement objectives.

What will I need?

• Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.


• Deep understanding of Transaction Banking within the SME segment.


• Ability to drive accountability and performance across frontline teams.


• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in revenue growth, pipeline management, and conversion.


• Proven capability to lead change and transformation initiatives at scale.
