Job summary

Westpac is seeking a Transactional Banking Specialist for our Merchant Solutions team. This field-based role focuses on merchant acquiring and transactional banking, building referral networks, and growing business with SME customers across CBD, Northern Beaches, and Eastern & Inner Suburbs regions.

You will work alongside Local Business Bankers and branch leadership to deliver value-driven outcomes. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in a sales-driven environment, strong BD and relationship

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a customer-facing, sales-driven environment.
• Strong business development and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to build pipelines and convert opportunities into sales outcomes.
• Understanding of SME customer needs and the business banking landscape.
• Ability to work autonomously across a large geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and drive growth through merchant acquiring and transactional banking solutions.
• Build referral networks and convert opportunities into sales outcomes.
• Support CBD, Northern Beaches, and Eastern & Inner Suburbs regions with on-road activities 3-4 days per week.
