Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Training Co-ordinator to lead the Health, Safety & Training Team at Mount Pleasant Operation in NSW. You will drive training programs, ensure compliance with HSE management systems, and align training with site needs.

A strong focus on proficiency-based outcomes and audit readiness is required. You will develop learning materials, manage trainer resources, and deliver assessments on-site, with a 5 days on / 2 off roster and monthly RDO.

Qualifications

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
• G1–G9 (S1–S3) qualification is required.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Experience in project-based training needs analysis, skills matrix and training plans.
• Strong administrative skills and experience with online training systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the training team to deliver best-practice training and education programs.
• Ensure training programs align with operational needs and compliance requirements.
• Monitor, analyse and report on training deliverables and performance.
• Develop and source training programs to meet specific needs.
• Develop and review learning materials and assessment resources.
• Deliver in-class learning and assessments.
• Maintain site Training Needs Analysis and Skills Matrix.
• Prepare materials for annual audit schedules.
• Oversee resourcing and development of Trainers and Assessors.
