Job summary

Aurecon Adelaide is seeking a dedicated Training & Competency Coordinator to support a nationally significant program within a highly regulated environment. This role is not merely administrative; it requires a specialist who can manage training systems, competency assurance, and audit-ready records with precision.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating training, competency and workforce capability programs.
• Knowledge of vocational education and training principles, competency-based training, or RTO-style quality systems.
• Experience maintaining training records, competency matrices, LMS or workforce capability frameworks.
• Understanding of traceability, document control and audit-ready record management.
• Strong organisational, stakeholder engagement and written communication skills.
• TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent highly regarded.
• Experience in defence, aviation, rail, energy, infrastructure or other highly regulated environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training, competency development, continuous professional development and on-the-job learning activities.
• Develop and maintain training and competency matrices aligned to workforce capability requirements.
• Coordinate training delivery with subject matter experts and external training providers.
• Maintain accurate, traceable and audit-ready training and competency records.
• Manage training documentation, version control and evidence requirements.
• Produce reports on training completion, competency gaps and workforce readiness.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across training and competency systems.
