Job summary

Integral Diagnostics (“IDX Group”) invites applications for a Trainee Sonographer to join our Geelong imaging team. You will train under clinical tutors, gaining hands-on scanning experience while progressing toward a postgraduate qualification.

Mentoring from experienced sonographers and dedicated training time will support your development across our network. The role offers a structured program with 3–4 days of scanning weekly and a commitment to ongoing growth within a leading imaging

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of clinical, patient-facing experience or a relevant qualification in a medical field.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, patient focus and attention to detail.

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria with more than 19 clinics provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics and speciality centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

About the Role:

We are excited to offer an opportunity to a dedicated and motivated Trainee Sonographer to join our imaging team. Under the supervision and guidance of clinical tutors, you will gain comprehensive hands‑on training while working towards your postgraduate qualification. You will be supported and mentored by highly skilled Sonographers across our Geelong region. We are seeking an enthusiastic, values‑driven individual who enjoys working collaboratively and is committed to developing their sonography career.

This role includes a structured training program with at least 3-4 days of scanning per week and a post qualification commitment period to support your ongoing growth.

Experience and qualification:

• A minimum of two years’ prior clinical, patient-facing experience and /or relevant qualification in associated medical field is essential.
• The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, a strong patient focus, and a high level of attention to detail.
