Job summary

Lake Imaging Geelong is seeking a motivated Trainee Sonographer to join our imaging team. Under supervision of clinical tutors, you will gain hands-on training while working toward your postgraduate qualification, supported by experienced sonographers across the Geelong region.

This role offers a structured training program with 3–4 scanning days per week and a commitment to ongoing professional growth within a leading imaging network.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of prior clinical patient-facing experience.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, strong patient focus, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training program towards postgraduate qualification.
• Gain hands-on scanning experience 3–4 days per week under supervision.
• Work with mentor sonographers across the Geelong region.

About the Role:

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria with more than 19 clinics provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics and speciality centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

We are excited to offer an opportunity to a dedicated and motivated Trainee Sonographer to join our imaging team. Under the supervision and guidance of clinical tutors, you will gain comprehensive hands‑on training while working towards your postgraduate qualification. You will be supported and mentored by highly skilled Sonographers across our Geelong region. We are seeking an enthusiastic, values‑driven individual who enjoys working collaboratively and is committed to developing their sonography career.

This role includes a structured training program with at least 3-4 days of scanning per week and a post qualification commitment period to support your ongoing growth.

Experience and qualification:

• A minimum of two years’ prior clinical, patient-facing experience and /or relevant qualification in associated medical field is essential.
• The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, a strong patient focus, and a high level of attention to detail.
