Job summary

Lake Imaging in Geelong is seeking an Ultrasound Supervisor to lead the Ultrasound department, ensure high quality imaging, and manage rosters and leave for technical staff. You will mentor staff, uphold safety standards, and optimise workflow to meet patient referrer needs.

Ideal candidates will have senior ultrasound leadership experience, ASAR membership and professional indemnity insurance, and a collaborative, proactive approach to multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience as a Senior Sonographer or Modality Supervisor.
• Holds ASAR membership and professional indemnity insurance.
• Engages in ongoing education and professional development.
• Able to lead and work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the ultrasound practice workflow to meet timeframes.
• Perform high-quality imaging in line with protocols.
• Familiarity with equipment to ensure efficient examinations.
• Provide leadership and direction to staff under supervision.
• Deliver high-quality, safe, accessible patient service.
• Foster effective communication with patients, relatives, and referrers.
• Specialise in Advanced Sonography in MSK, OB, Gyne and general US.
• Identify training needs for junior Sonographers.

About The Role

We have the rare opportunity for an Ultrasound Supervisor to join the Lake Imaging team to support the Ultrasound department by maintaining a high quality, efficient services for our patients and referrers; providing leadership and direction to staff under supervision; to managing rosters and leave for technical staff.

• Supervising the practice workflow to meet nominated timeframes
• Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols
• Be familiar with all equipment and accessories provided so that a fluent examination can be undertaken
• Demonstrate leadership in the treatment patients with care, compassion, dignity, and respect always and without compromise
• Provide high quality and safe service that is accessible and sustainable
• Foster good public relations and communications with your team, patients, relatives, visitors, and the general public
• Advanced Sonography in MSK, OBs, Gyne and general US – share your passion!
• Identifying training for junior Sonographers as required
