Job summary

Lake Imaging is offering a Trainee Sonographer position in Geelong, with structured training and mentorship from experienced tutors. The role focuses on hands-on scanning and progression toward a postgraduate qualification within a leading imaging network.

Under supervision, you will develop clinical skills across our Geelong clinics, with 3–4 days of scanning per week and a pathway to long-term career progression in radiology.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ prior clinical, patient-facing experience and/or relevant qualification in associated medical field.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills with strong patient focus and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on training under supervision by clinical tutors as a Trainee Sonographer.
• Work towards postgraduate qualification with guided support from senior Sonographers across Geelong region.
• Participate in a structured training program with 3–4 days of scanning per week and commitment to post-qualification growth.

About The Role

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria with more than 19 clinics provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics and speciality centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

We are excited to offer an opportunity to a dedicated and motivated Trainee Sonographer to join our imaging team. Under the supervision and guidance of clinical tutors, you will gain comprehensive hands-on training while working towards your postgraduate qualification. You will be supported and mentored by highly skilled Sonographers across our Geelong region. We are seeking an enthusiastic, values-driven individual who enjoys working collaboratively and is committed to developing their sonography career.

This role includes a structured training program with at least 3-4 days of scanning per week and a post qualification commitment period to support your ongoing growth.

Experience And Qualification

• A minimum of two years’ prior clinical, patient-facing experience and /or relevant qualification in associated medical field is essential.
• The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, a strong patient focus, and a high level of attention to detail.
