Job summary

Totaline, a division of AHIC (Australia) Pty Ltd, seeks a driven Trade Counter Sales & Warehouse Support at our Clayton branch. You will drive sales, build customer relationships and support warehouse operations while ensuring exceptional service.

You will engage customers at the counter, by phone and email, upsell products, and prepare quotations. Forklift operation and product knowledge are key, with health and safety always in focus.

Qualifications

• HVAC background and customer product requirements

• Good problem-solving, organisational and time-management skills
• Forklift licence with warehouse experience
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
• HVACR industry experience and ERP system knowledge is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with customers at the trade counter, over the phone and via email to identify their needs and generate sales.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities while recommending suitable products.
• Build relationships with key customers and grow repeat business.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and follow up enquiries to maximise sales opportunities.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers with product enquiries.
• Support branch sales, margin and customer service objectives.
• Manage customer expectations regarding product availability, pricing and delivery.
• Receive, inspect, store, pick, pack and dispatch stock accurately.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stocktakes.
• Keep the store and warehouse clean, organised and well presented.
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and follow workplace health and safety requirements.

Totaline is a division of AHIC (Australia) Pty Ltd, supplying Carrier and other air-conditioning parts and specialist products to the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration industry.

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Counter Sales & Warehouse Support person to join our Clayton branch team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, your primary focus will be growing sales, developing customer relationships and delivering an exceptional customer experience, while supporting warehouse and store operations as required.

What You'll Be Doing

Counter Sales & Customer Service – Your Primary Focus

Proactively engage with customers at the trade counter, over the phone and via email to identify their needs and generate sales.

Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities while recommending suitable products.

What You'll Bring

A current forklift licence with practical warehouse experience.

Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

HVACR industry experience and Oracle or a similar ERP system knowledge and experience is advantageous. Preference will be given to applicants with a valid current Australian driver's licence.
