Responsibilities

• Escort visitors on sightseeing and sailing tours throughout the Whitsundays region.
• Describe and explain points of interest, including local islands, beaches, marine environments and scenic attractions.
• Provide informative commentary on the region's history, geography, culture, wildlife and natural environment.
• Welcome guests, explain tour itineraries, communicate departure times and provide relevant information about tour activities.
• Answer visitors' questions and provide accurate information about local attractions, facilities and tourism services.
• Assist guests with boarding, disembarking and moving between designated tour locations, as appropriate.
• Monitor tour schedules and coordinate activities to ensure tours operate efficiently and according to the planned itinerary.
• Provide safety briefings and communicate relevant safety instructions in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor guest comfort and safety throughout the tour and respond appropriately to enquiries, concerns or unexpected situations.
• Assist with guest check-ins, passenger lists and other tour-related administrative duties.
• Coordinate with skippers, vessel crew and other tourism personnel to facilitate smooth tour operations.
• Provide information about marine wildlife and environmental conservation, encouraging responsible tourism practices.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with domestic and international visitors.
• Assist with general tour preparation, including checking relevant equipment, informational materials and guest requirements before departure.
