Job summary

STC in Victoria seeks a Tolling Infrastructure Engineer to shape and maintain the tolling technology environment, from roadside systems to back-office platforms, ensuring reliability, security and resilience.

You’ll lead infrastructure design across on-premises and hybrid cloud, collaborate with vendors, and drive governance while delivering business-aligned outcomes in a high-availability setting.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline.
• At least 10 years’ experience in Technology infrastructure with secure, reliable and resilient infrastructure.
• Experience in high-availability or mission-critical environments.
• Experience supporting OT and IT environments, including backup, DR and BC controls.
• Knowledge of ITIL and operational service management.
• Knowledge of tolling operations and large infrastructure projects.
• Experience designing, establishing, and managing greenfields technology infrastructure environment.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop and cloud security tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise across networks, hybrid cloud, domain services and cyber security to support the Toll Collection Platform.
• Define, design, implement and maintain tolling infrastructure architecture across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead planning, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management of infrastructure services in high-availability environments.
• Evaluate, recommend and govern infrastructure technologies to ensure security, scalability and value.
• Apply network and communications principles to tolling infrastructure solutions.
• Define and support security architecture, governance, resilience and risk mitigation strategies across tolling infrastructure.
• Design and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards for governance and service transparency.
• Develop enterprise and solution architecture artefacts and contribute to governance reviews and sign-offs.
• Promote continuous improvement across tolling technology stack for performance and resilience.
