Job summary

STC is seeking a Tolling Infrastructure Engineer to shape and maintain the tolling technology environment across roadside systems, back-office platforms, networks and supporting infrastructure.

You will provide expert technical leadership, work with vendors, and ensure tolling systems are reliable, secure and aligned with strategy. A strong focus on high-availability environments and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate or post-graduate IT qualification required.
• At least 10 years’ experience in technology infrastructure and resilient design.
• Experience in high-availability or mission-critical environments.
• Experience with OT/IT environments, backup, DR and BC controls is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ITIL and operational service management is essential.
• Experience in tolling operations or large infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop and cloud security tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain tolling infrastructure architecture across on-prem and hybrid cloud.
• Lead planning, testing, deployment and lifecycle management of services for high availability.
• Evaluate technologies and ensure secure, scalable, value-driven solutions.
• Apply network principles to tolling infrastructure design and support.
• Define security governance, resilience measures and risk mitigation.
• Design monitoring, logging and observability dashboards for governance and ops.
• Develop enterprise architecture artefacts and participate in governance reviews.
• Promote continuous improvement across the tolling technology stack.
