Martin-Brower Australia Pty Ltd at Melbourne Airport VIC is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our collaborative finance team. You will manage timely invoice processing, PO matching, and vendor communications to maintain accurate ledgers.

The role requires tertiary qualification in finance or accounting, strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and the ability to prioritise a high volume of work in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Accounting or Finance.
• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or related role.
• Strong understanding of PO processing and matching.
• Advanced Excel skills with exposure to ERP systems.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise a large volume of tasks in order to meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Review and match pre-paid import invoices with purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner
• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers; respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and address any issues or concerns
• Assist in the review and testing of internal controls related to accounts payable processes
• Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to strengthen internal controls
• Generate and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports, and creditor related balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with accurate and timely completion of month-end tasks
• Maintain and update accounts payable finance systems, including software applications and databases
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements
