Job summary

Martin Brower is seeking an analytical Accounts Payable Analyst to join our collaborative finance team in Melbourne. You will process invoices, match purchase orders, perform reconciliations and support internal controls across AP processes.

You will work with ERP systems, advanced Excel and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate ledgers and strong vendor relationships while contributing to month-end activities and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in accounts payable or related role.
• Strong PO processing and matching knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Review and match prepaid import invoices with POs.
• Investigate invoice/PO discrepancies promptly.
• Perform monthly AP reconciliations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Support internal controls testing and improvements.
• Generate AP reports and aging analysis.
• Assist with month-end tasks and system updates.
• Collaborate with IT and finance on system upgrades.

The Opportunity:

We have an excellent opportunity for ananalyticalanddetail- orientedAccounts Payable Analystto join ourcollaborative and highly functionalfinanceteam.In this role, you willplay a pivotalpartintimelyandaccurateprocessing of invoices, purchase order matching, general ledger reconciliations, controls review andtesting,working collaborativelytomaintainup-to- date supplier ledgers.

Day to day you will:

• Review and match pre-paid import invoices with purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase ordersin a timely manner

• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

• Establish andmaintainpositive relationships with vendors and suppliers; respond to vendor inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and address any issues or concerns

• Assistin the review and testing of internal controls related to accounts payable processes

• Identifyareas for improvement and implement enhancements to strengthen internal controls

• Generate andanalyseaccounts payable reports, includingagingreports, and creditor related balance sheet reconciliations

• Assistwithaccurateandtimelycompletion of month-end tasks

• Maintain and update accounts payable finance systems, including software applications and databases

• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements

About You:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Accountingor Finance

• Demonstrated experience inaccounts payable or related role

• Strong understanding of purchase order processing and matching.

• AdvancedExcel skills with exposure to ERP systems

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and an ability to build relationships with internal and externalstakeholders

• Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise a large volume of tasksin order tomeet deadlines.
