Job summary

Scenic Rim Regional Council is seeking a Temporary Labourer for infrastructure services across Beaudesert, Boonah and Canungra depots. Initial term is 6 months, with duties in general labouring, signage, traffic control, and plant operation relief where licensed.

Offer includes a base remuneration of $66,726.32 per year, a 38-hour week, a 9-day fortnight, and up to 13% employer superannuation. Applications close 31 March 2027, contact provided for details.

Qualifications

• General labouring experience or ability to perform labouring tasks as part of construction and maintenance works.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle under a C or MR Class Licence if required (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily labouring duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Erect signage in accordance with MUTCD as trained.
• Provide relief to plant operators where licensed.
• Carry out traffic control duties in line with MUTCD and WH&S policies.

About this opportunity

As the Labourer, you will be required to provide general labouring assistance in construction and maintenance works.

Council are offering positions based at various Council depots including Boonah, Beaudesert and Canungra. However, you may be required to work from any of Council’s depots within the Scenic Rim Region. The initial term will be for 6 months.

Additionally, you’ll also …

• Carry out daily labouring duties in an efficient, effective and safe manner Erect signage in accordance with MUTCD, as trained.
• Provide efficient and effective relief to plant operators where licensed.
• Carry out traffic control duties in accordance with MUTCD and Council' s Workplace Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
• Operate small plant with due care and only after being inducted in the proper use of this plant.
