Job summary

South Burnett Regional Council is seeking a hardworking Labourer based in Kingaroy to join our road construction and maintenance team. The role covers concreting, drainage works, and maintenance across sealed and unsealed roads, contributing to infrastructure projects.

The position is permanent, full-time, with a $63K-$66K salary plus allowances and super. Applicants must hold a current C Class driver’s licence and a White Card, with additional licences and first aid being advantageous.

• Desirable: MR/HR/HC licences or other relevant tickets.
• Desirable: Traffic Control Ticket (Level 1).

$63K - $66K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Labourer to join our road construction and maintenance team. This role will undertake a range of general labouring duties across road construction and maintenance operations, including concreting, drainage works, tasks on sealed and unsealed roads, and maintenance of various infrastructure assets. The successful applicant will have proven experience in general labouring duties, demonstrated ability in the operation and basic maintenance of small plant and equipment, and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to follow directions and work safely and efficiently, are essential for success in this role.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence
• General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card)

• Plant/ Truck licences (MR, HR, HC) or other operationally relevant tickets
• Traffic Control Ticket (Level 1)
• First Aid Certificate
