Job summary

Scenic Rim Regional Council in Beaudesert, QLD is seeking a Truck Driver to support road construction, road maintenance and labouring tasks. Positions are based at various depots including Beaudesert, Boonah and Canungra, with work from any depot within the Scenic Rim Region.

The role requires a C or MR licence, a current General Construction Induction card, and knowledge of truck driving and road procedures. The package includes a base remuneration and superannuation, with a 9-day fortnight.

About this opportunity

As the Truck Driver, you will be required to provide truck driving functions in road construction, road maintenance and labouring duties under regular supervision as directed.

Council are offering positions based at various Council depots including Boonah, Beaudesert and Canungra. However, you may be required to work from any of Council’s depots within the Scenic Rim Region.

• Perform truck driving duties as directed.
• Carry out daily general labouring duties in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
• Operate small plant safely and only after being inducted in the proper use of this plant.
• Use of two way radio equipment.

About you…

• Ability to legally oper ate a motor vehicle under a C and MR Class Licence.
• A current card for General Construction Induction.
• Knowledge of truck driving.
• Knowledge of road construction and road maintenance procedures, relevant to urban and rural roads.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems relevant to the operation of trucks.

What’s in it for you?

This position comes with a base remuneration from $66,726.32, working a 38hr week, 9 day fortnight, and up to 13% employer superannuation contribution.
