Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Gunnedah Service team. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs and support customers in the field, keeping equipment in peak condition.

The role is based in Gunnedah NSW with a Monday–Friday roster, travel to customer sites, and time on the tools. Experience as Mobile Plant Technician or Diesel/Heavy Diesel Fitter is valued; Komatsu experience is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Ideally, you’ll be a qualified Mobile Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic.
• We’re keen to hear from experienced Diesel Fitters and Heavy Diesel Fitters.

• Providing quality technical support in the field.
• Assisting with larger site-based equipment maintenance projects.

Komatsu is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Gunnedah Service team.

You’ll be out in the field maintaining, diagnosing and repairing customer equipment, working independently and directly with customers to keep their machines performing at their best.

What You'll Be Doing

Role Located: Gunnedah, NSW

Roster: Monday to Friday – 7am to 15:06, with overtime available

Tools: Tool of trade vehicle, mobile phone and laptop

What we are looking for:

Ideally, you’ll be a qualified Mobile Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic, but we’re also keen to hear from experienced Diesel Fitters and Heavy Diesel Fitters who have worked on agricultural, construction or similar heavy equipment and are interested in making the move into mobile plant.

Komatsu experience would be great, but it isn't essential; we're interested in the skills and experience you can bring with you.

You’ll also need to be:

• Safety focused and comfortable working independently.
• Confident diagnosing and solving mechanical problems.
• Comfortable working directly with customers.
• Organised and able to manage your workload in the field.
• Willing and able to travel and spend occasional periods away from home.
• Able to meet the role's driver licence requirements.
• Willing and able to successfully complete a Coal Board Medical.
