Job summary

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Field Service Diesel Fitter based in Cairns. You will service, maintain and repair heavy equipment in the field, using technical expertise to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes and maximise equipment performance.

The role requires a mobile plant trade certificate or equivalent, proven field experience, strong customer relations, and the ability to work autonomously. A 5:2 roster with a 40-hour week and a competitive salary plus a tool of trade vehicle and other

• Complete detailed service reports, including fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Analyse machine data and onboard computer system downloads.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and report hazards or incidents.
• Build positive customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Ensure accurate completion of timesheets and service documentation.
• Support branch operations and assist team members as required.

As a Field Service Diesel Fitter based in Cairns, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy equipment in the field. Using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for our customers while helping maximise equipment performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment.

Roster

5:2 roster, 40 hour week, primarily day shifts

Annualised Wages

Competitive Salary + Tool of Trade Vehicle + Overtime + Field Service Allowance
