I Place People Pty Ltd is seeking a technically minded Internal Sales Person to join its Australian team in Caringbah. You will provide frontline technical sales support to customers, distributors and internal teams, handle incoming enquiries, prepare quotations and assist with product selection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in internal sales, customer service or technical product support.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation or industrial products.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with technical customers.
• Ability to understand basic technical information (datasheets, product codes, specifications).
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming customer enquiries via phone and email
• Provide product information, pricing and technical guidance
• Prepare accurate quotations and follow up with customers
• Support external sales with documentation and customer updates
• Build strong relationships with councils, water authorities, mining clients, EPCs and contractors
• Assist customers with basic product selection for level, pressure and point‑level instrumentation
• Communicate technical features, benefits and applications
• Work with datasheets, product codes and configuration options
• Liaise with technical teams when specialised support is required
• Maintain CRM records and customer data
• Process orders, product codes and documentation
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for dispatch and delivery
• Support internal reporting and sales activity tracking
