Salexo Consulting in Sydney seeks a motivated business development professional to drive new customer acquisition in the construction sector. Based across Sydney, you will identify opportunities, build relationships with builders, contractors, trades and other decision-makers, and turn conversations into measurable growth.

This is a genuine B2B sales role with ownership of the sales pipeline, freedom to shape your approach, and a clear path to exceeding targets through face-to-face meetings,

Qualifications

• Strong track record of new business development in construction or related sectors.
• Ability to identify and target prospective customers and convert conversations into opportunities.
• Proven skills in building and maintaining professional relationships with builders, contractors and decision-makers.
• Experience in managing a sales pipeline from prospecting to close, with quota attainment.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across the Sydney market.
• Identify and target prospective customers within the construction industry.
• Build strong relationships with builders, contractors, trades and key decision-makers.
• Proactively prospect through face-to-face meetings, calls, networking and referrals.
• Grow revenue across new and existing customers.
• Develop an understanding of customer requirements and upcoming projects.
• Identify projects early and position the business to win the work.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial outcomes.
• Maintain regular contact with customers and prospects throughout the sales process.
• Monitor market activity, competitors and emerging opportunities.
• Work with internal sales, operations and management.
• Own sales activity, pipeline development and territory performance.
• Aim to exceed agreed sales targets.
