Job summary

Ambition Recruitment is seeking an L2 Support Engineer for a 6-month contract in Sydney. Hybrid work with travel to client sites across the wider Sydney area; own vehicle required.

You will troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments, deploy and support Intune, manage VMware and Azure tasks, and provide essential networking support while coordinating with the L3 team and building strong client relationships. The role includes direct client engagement, on-site visits, and timely ticket resolution

Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 experience including Exchange/SharePoint
• Experience with VMware on-prem environments and Azure tasks
• Strong client-facing communication and proactive problem-solving

Responsibilities

L2 Support Engineer
Contract: 6 months, immediate start
Working arrangement: Hybrid, with regular travel to client sites across the wider Sydney area (own vehicle required)

Are you a strong M365 troubleshooter who's ready to put your technical and client-facing skills to real use? This is a chance to join a business that lives and breathes technology solutions, where your M365 expertise will be front and centre every day.

Our client, a well-established national MSP, is looking for a L2 Support Engineer to provide that critical extra layer of support to their L3 team, working directly with clients across Sydney.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing L2 support across M365 environments, on-prem servers and VMware
• Deploying and supporting Intune
• Delivering core networking support as needed
• Assisting with Azure tasks where required
• Escalation support for complex issues, working closely with L3
• Building strong client relationships face-to-face and over the phone
• Travelling to client sites across the wider Sydney area

Experience needed:

• Microsoft 365 experience is the top priority for this role - including Exchange, Sharepoint, deploying and supporting Intune and general M365 problem-solving
• Experience supporting VMware and on-prem servers, Azure and core networking is also a plus
• Excellent client-facing skills; confident engaging directly with clients, including by phone
• MSP experience is nice-to-have, not essential
• A genuine passion for technology and a proactive, solutions-first attitude
• Driver's licence and vehicle for client visits
