Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking caring individuals to support clients across Western Sydney, visiting Parramatta, Blacktown, Auburn, Riverstone and Mt Druitt areas. Roles available as permanent part-time or casual with flexible hours.

You will travel to client homes and contribute to high-quality in-home care while earning a competitive rate. Not-for-profit employer with generous benefits and commitment to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle are essential.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support highly regarded but not essential.
• Experience in the care industry is welcomed for both experienced and new entrants.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with day-to-day in-home tasks: cleaning, tidying, washing.
• Transport clients to appointments and shopping.
• Assist with meal preparation.
• Provide social support or respite for family carers.
• Support personal care including assistance with showering and dressing if qualified.

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Parramatta and surrounding suburbs in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day To Day Role Looks Like

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
