Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Sydney is seeking caring individuals to support clients living at home with in-home care. You will travel around Fairfield and Condell Park, helping with daily tasks to enable independence and wellbeing.

Casual and permanent part-time roles are available, with Arabic language preferred but not essential. Enjoy competitive pay rates with 25% loading, superannuation, and km reimbursement as part of a values-based not-for-profit employer.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing high quality care to older Australians.
• Certificate 3/4 in Individual Support is desirable.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day in-home tasks such as cleaning, tidying and laundry per care plan.
• Transport clients to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation and light domestic duties.
• Provide social support or respite for families and carers.
• Assist with personal care if qualified and trained.

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Fairfield and Condell Park areas in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day To Day Role Looks Like

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To Be Successful In This Role You'll Need

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
