Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a devoted Support Worker to visit clients in their homes around Campbelltown, Liverpool, Picton and surrounding areas. The role involves assisting with daily living tasks and some transport as part of a patient-centered care plan.

You will engage with clients to support independence, with training opportunities and a not-for-profit environment that values compassionate care and community wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support is highly regarded (but not essential).
• Australian driver’s licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential).
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Reliable team player with an understanding of workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with day-to-day in-home tasks (cleaning, tidying, washing) as per care plan.
• Transport clients to appointments and to shop.
• Meal preparation for clients.
• Provide social support or respite for families/caregivers.
• Provide personal care including showering and dressing if qualified.

• Recently increased hourly rate from $34.50 - $37.00 per hour+ 25% casual loading + superannuation + km reimbursement ($1.11 cents per km)
• Experienced and qualified - Both welcome!
• Location - Travelling to visit clients around Bargo, Picton and surrounding areas
• Casual and permanent part time positions available
• Up to $18,550 tax free with not for profit salary packaging

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Campbelltown and Liverpool areas in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
