genU is looking for Overnight Sleep - Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. These are overnight sleep rosters of 7 shifts @60hrs per fortnight.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
• Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) is essential
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate)

Responsibilities

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting
