Job summary

genU is seeking an Overnight Sleep Support Worker in Perth, WA to help customers with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. The role includes supporting with daily living skills, medication administration and behaviour support in a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Disability or higher is essential.
• Experience with behaviour support plans is preferred.
• Ability to manage complex situations with patience.

genU is looking for an Overnight Sleep Support Worker who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

• Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
• Previous experience with medication administration;
• Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience;
• Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) OR proven experience supporting people living with disability is essential;
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
