Job summary

genU is looking for Casual Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

We currently have several immediate casual opportunities available, with anticipated hours of 20+ per week and the potential to transition to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one).
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to use your private vehicle.
• Experience with medication administration and complex care needs.
• Experience with personal care and domestic assistance while maintaining dignity.

Responsibilities

• Support person-centred plans to help customers achieve life goals.
• Assist with daily living skills like meal prep, housekeeping, showering and toileting.
• Follow positive behaviour support plans.
• Complete administration duties and mandatory reporting.

What you’ll do

Support person‑centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;

Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;

Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and

Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;

Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;

Previous experience with medication administration, manual handling and supporting individuals with high and complex care needs;

Significant experience providing personal care and domestic assistance while maintaining dignity, choice and independence;

Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one)

A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
