Job summary

Bayside City Council is seeking caregivers for Bayside and Glen Eira to provide domestic support to older residents at home. The role offers permanent part-time hours, $33.98 per hour plus 12% Super, and local flexibility across suburbs like Brighton and Caulfield.

No prior aged care experience is required; full training and support are provided. Duties include cleaning, laundry, and basic health monitoring, with travel between clients’ homes in Bayside and Glen Eira.

This role focuses primarily on domestic support, helping your clients maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment.

Your regular duties may include:

• Vacuuming, mopping and general cleaning
• Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Changing bed linen and light laundry
• Other routine household duties
• Monitoring your clients’ health and wellbeing and reporting any concerns.
• Travelling between clients’ homes across Bayside and Glen Eira and build meaningful relationships with a regular group of clients.

We’re looking for people who:

• Can work at least 4 weekdays between 9am to 3pm
• Have a reliable car and a current Victorian driver’s license
• Can meet the physical requirements of the role
• Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Police Check and Working with Children Check. We will cover the cost.
